France has many famous actors and actresses, some of them are: Brigitte Bardot, Sarah Bernhardt, Marcel Marceau, Jeanne Moreau, Catherine Deneuve, Michel Piccoli, Jacques Tati, Gerard Depardieu and Jean-Louis Trintignant. The Cinema in France is well developed, is has not the quality as the North American Cinema but have its own perspective, french-speaking market is not as big as English- speaking market, but major french films are not purely commercial but they try to give a message from the film's director to the public in general about the topic of the movie. In France takes place one of the most important film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, in May of every year. Here is a small list of french films: The French Government has taken some measures for helping the french cinema, for example now Canal Plus TV channel has a broadcast license imposing that it should support the production of movies, also some taxes on movies and Tv channels are levied, and the best one is that is prohibited to sell some of the movie films that have been recently showed, it's only possible to do after six months of been showed in any theater.
