Buenos Aires Nightlife


If you are looking for a great nightlife then Buenos Aires is your city, Buenos Aires hardly sleeps because the people love the nightlife, from Teatro Colon to tango shows and dance clubs, Buenos Aires has a exceptional nightlife. Tourists should go and donดt miss a tango show, the better sights are in La Boca and San Telmo neighborhoods, where there are several Tango bars. In Argentina, people usually have dinning at 11pm, after that people like to visit a cafe or maybe a Disco Club, most of the Discos starts around 2am and are opened until late hours (6am, 7am or later) After Rep๚blica Cromagnon nightclub fire, clubs were closed for fire inspections and to improve their security measures, nowadays the situation is almost normalized the city has a wide variety of bars, clubs and discos, but clubs tends to admit less people and are more rigorous in its closing hours. You can find enough restaurants, clubs and bars along the streets around the Recoleta Cemetery. Another hot-spot is the area around Libertador and Infanta Isabel to Samiento and Casares Avenues, for more fun, you can visit the Costanera Norte Area, the most recent entertainment area in Buenos Aires is Palermo Viejo, with lots of restaurants, discos and bars. In summer, nightlife in Buenos Aires is quieter, because people like to move to other places, Mar del Plata and Punta del Este (Uruguay). You can try some of this discos and bars: the Clubland @ Pacha (tel. 4788-4280), located at Costanera Norte and La Pampa, is the biggest disco in Buenos Aires, the predominating sounds are the techno, trance and house, the disco mainly congregate chic people, is open Fridays and Saturdays from 2.00am to 8.30am. Club 69 or Niceto Club (tel. 4779-9396), located at Niceto Vega 5510 in Palermo neighborhood, is a excellent choice with good electronic music played by DJ Suker, the disco is open before 1.30am and closes strictly at 6.00am. You can try some Irish pubs, the Kilkenny (tel. 4312-7291) located at Marcelo T. de Alvear 399, Reconquista, the most popular in Buenos Aires, it is also the first pub in Latin America with license to sell the famous Guinness beer or the Tymothy O'Toole (tel. 4313-2828), located at Tucuman 400, with good prices, on saturdays live music at midnight. Another popular bar is El Milion (tel. 4185-9925), in Parana 1048, located in a stunning mansion, it has a Art Gallery with continous events and projections. Sonoman Bar (tel. 4771-5435), located at Fitz Roy 1655, is a distinct bar in the middle of the Palermo neighborhood, open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, here you will find lots of people dancing and drinking all night with dance music and 80s hits. Or maybe you can visit La Cigale (tel. 4312-8275), located at 25 de Mayo and Viamonte, is a charming place, here you can listen nice music and meet nice people, on Tuesdays are the popular "French nights". Or +160 at Bahrein, Lavalle and 25 de Mayo, a disco where the DJ plays drums & base electronic music, is very popular for young alternative people, open from 10.00pm to 3.00am. Buenos Aires nightlife is not only go to Dance Clubs, if you want some cultural activities, you can visit one of the nearly 40 professional theaters along the city, many of them are located along Corrientes Avenue between 9 de Julio Avenue, there are others in San Telmo and Abasto neighborhoods, but the center of the cultural activity in Buenos Aires is the Teatro Col๓n (tel. 54-11-4378-7100), located at 9 de Julio Avenue, the theater hosts ballet works and concerts, is home also of the National Symphony, National Opera, and National Ballet.
